How Big of an RV Should I Buy?

Categories

There are a lot of factors to consider when purchasing an RV. One of the most important factors is size.

Too small and you’ll feel cramped at the campground. Too big and you overspent on the camper.

Ask yourself the following questions to help determine the right RV size for your family.

How Many People Are Traveling With You?

The first question to ask yourself is how many people will be traveling with you. This includes not just immediate family members but also close friends or extended family who might join you on occasion.

Keep in mind that RVs come in all shapes and sizes. There are small RV campers that can comfortably sleep two people and larger RV campers that have enough space for 10 or more people.

What Kind of RVing Experience Do You Want?

If your focus is spending most of your time out in nature, then you might be fine with a smaller RV that doesn’t have all the bells and whistles.

On the other hand, if you want your RV camper to feel like a second home, then you’ll need a larger RV with more amenities.

How Much Stuff Do You Need to Bring With You?

If you plan on bringing a lot of items, then you’ll need a bigger RV that has the storage space for your belongings.

If you’re a minimalistic traveler who only brings the essentials, then a smaller RV camper will do just fine.
