Sometimes, the best camping spots are also the ones available to smaller RVs. With a lightweight RV, you may be able to access spots that are closer to the campground’s amenities or provide a more picturesque view.

More Tow Vehicle Options

A tow vehicle has a maximum weight limit that it can safely and legally haul. Larger RVs may only be able to be transported with a pickup truck while a compact camper can be towed by a variety of tow vehicles. You may not own a pickup truck, but that doesn’t have to stop you from owning an RV!

Easier Towing Experience

Compact RVs will weigh less, which will alter your tow vehicle’s handling less.

For example, you will come to a full stop sooner when hauling a lightweight RV compared to hauling a heavier model. It’ll be easier to tackle turns, lane changes, and other aspects of the towing experience.
